SANKEY LOUVAMESH™is intended to be used primarily as a sun screen. It is, however, equally popular as a privacy screen or wind break and is widely used for glare reduction on main roads and highways.

• Provides little restriction to airflow

Installation Information
The following accessories are available to ensure easy fixing and proper finishing of your expanded metal project.

Clamping Methods
A galvanised steel fastening clamp set is available for "GM" and "GR" series SANKEY GRIDMESH® expanded metal. The clamp set consists of top and bottom plate and bolt. Note: All steel surfaces in contact with aluminium gridmesh should be painted with zinc chromate.

Seven steel edge beading sections (above) and standard steel angle sections suitable for use as expanded metal trims are available. In addition, special width trim sections can be manufactured against order.

For maximum shading effect, SANKEY LOUVAMESH™ is installed with the LWM horizontal and the strands sloping outward and down. When the expanded metal is facing north, it's shading effect begins at about 8.00 am and continues until about 3.30 pm during which time it provides extensive shade and reduced room temperatures. From sunrise until about 8.00 am and from about 3.30 pm to sunset, the maximum penetration does not exceed about 38% but because the mesh provides little restriction to airflow, cooling, refreshing breezes are allowed to pass almost unhindered.
